Assembling outside Sturry Church
Sunday School Banner
At 10:30am, members from Flame (the music group), Seekers (the youth group), Sunday School and Jammers (the school club) assembled outside Sturry church for the walk into Canterbury. We were carrying banners - some of which had been made by the group members.

Once we arrived at the cathedral, most of the group sat down in the nave of the cathedral whilst the banner bearers waited at the back. At the start of the service, the banners were paraded down the cathedral nave. During the service, Captain Graham Nunn turned up dressed for the Olympics with a torch (!) and Archbishop Rowan Williams talked about pacing ourselves in our Christian lives.

After lunch there was a choice of activities that included a concert in the Nave, a chill out cafe area, and children's activities. We then all met back in the cathedral at the end of the day to light candles.
