On Good Friday morning Sturry United Church organised a Holiday Club for primary school children. This was similar in style to the holiday clubs run in the summer previous years, but for just one morning. We sang songs, watched a video, played games and enjoyed decorating flower pots.

The Good Friday Holiday Club was followed at 11am by the All Age Good Friday Service. During this we moved around the church, focusing at different pictures of the Passion Story. Two of these were painted specially for the day by members of the congregation (Marjorie and Jean).

The Easter Tomb
We then laid flowers and a card at the tomb.
This year we were unable to take a group to Spring Harvest as most of the accommodation was booked out very early. But a few still managed to get late bookings and had a fantastic 6 days in Minehead.

Why not join us in 2007?
On 17th January 2006, Jammers celebrated its 5th Birthday. Since it began in 2001, there have been over 18 Jammers clubs at Sturry Primary school and 7 at Hersden Primary School.
Captain Graham Nunn came along on the 17th January with his usual box of tricks and helped celebrate 5 years of after-school and lunch-time clubs for Primary school children in Sturry and Hersden. In total over 250 local children have so far been involved with Jammers during its first 5 years.

The number of young people belonging to the Seekers group (age 10+) has grown to be too many to fit in the meeting room. The older members have now formed a Super Seekers group and meet in the Upper Tower Room. Super Seekers is for young people aged 14+ and generally meets on Sunday mornings, but with additional activities at other times.
Seekers continues to meet as before.
