Various groups from the Parish took part in the Churches Ride and Stride: Stride around Sandwich One group of walkers visited 6 churches in and around Sandwich and Ash, ending up in Wingham (where they met one of the cycling groups)

Cycle around villages East of Canterbury
A group of cyclists from Sturry and Westbere churches cycled around 10 village churches. The photos below show the churches visited.

The second Saturday in September every year is the usual date for the Friends of Kent Churches Sponsored Ride and Stride. In fact this event happens throughout much of the UK, with almost all churches opening from 10am until 6pm and many serving refreshments.
