Remembrance Service Update

The Remembrance Service at the war memorial in Sturry churchyard will take place as planned on Sunday 8 November at 10.00am, and representatives of Sturry and Hersden Parish Councils and a representative of the uniformed organisations will be laying wreaths.

All are welcome, but please observe social distancing; each household or bubble should stand separately from others. As it is outside, face-coverings are not mandatory but are strongly advised to help prevent infection.

Sadly, the Annual Memorial Service scheduled for 6.30pm on Sunday evening has been cancelled because of the lockdown. However, subject to coronavirus restrictions, the Longest Night Service planned for Sunday 13 December at 6.30pm will include an opportunity to light a candle in memory of loved ones.
